Project Description

This extensive project adapted the existing Colorado State Penitentiary, adding 948 high-custody beds, administrative space for a combined three-prison complex, and new support space for 1,284 inmates, including intake, medical, food-service, laundry and warehouse facilities.

Bryan Construction’s contract included rough carpentry, plastic-laminate-clad architectural cabinets, sanitary wall panels, water-repellent coatings, sprayed fire-resistive materials, fire-resistive joint systems, joint sealants, detention epoxy sealants, hollow-metal doors and frames, door hardware, overhead coiling doors, glass glazing, fire-rated glass, gypsum board assemblies, acoustic ceilings, carpet, vinyl composition tile, toilet compartments, cubicle-track curtains and tracks, wall and corner guards, fire-extinguisher cabinets, expanded metal security partitions, storage racks, mobile storage shelving units, toilet accessories, loading dock equipment and projection screens.
