RQ-4B Global Hawk Hangar

Project Description

First built in 2007, the RQ-4B Global Hawk is a formidable, unmanned reconnaissance aircraft with a range of 12,000 miles – roughly half the circumference of the earth. An active participant in the war on terror, the Global Hawk program is based at Beale Air Force Base, outside of Sacramento, Calif.

Bryan Construction successfully built a 46,000-square-foot hangar for the RQ-4Bs, consisting of two 175-foot wide aircraft bays with a two-story office complex between them. The project included a high-expansive-foam fire-protection system and a 400HZ power distribution system. In addition, the floors received an epoxy coating, and a Vindicator security system was installed.
