The Lincoln Center is one of Colorado’s largest and most diverse presenters of professional theater, dance, music, visual arts and children’s programs. It features two performing art spaces (a 1,180-seat performance hall and a 220-seat theater), three galleries, and an outdoor sculpture/terrace/performance garden.
Bryan Construction demolished and rebuilt 18,800 square feet of the existing building, including the existing theaters and conference rooms. We also added 19,900 square feet, including a new building entrance and lobby, box office, second floor exterior patio, gallery, bar areas and storage. Additional structural elements were added to help strengthen the existing members prior to tying into the structure with the additions. The building also incorporated several very high-end, customized finishes, including new chandeliers and LED lighting, extensive tile and stonework, custom carpets, polished concrete floors, glass railings, and textured metallic Trespa panels.
The administrative offices were occupied during the entire project, so consideration and coordination with the occupants was imperative, and since the existing building had been remodeled numerous times, it presented quite a few challenges that required a proactive project team.
The building is LEED Gold certified.
