Repair Ops Parking, AT/FP, Peterson AFB, Colorado

Project Description

This project entailed the demolition and reconstruction of an existing parking lot, to include a permeable-pavers system with an inlaid compass pattern.

Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection elements included the construction of a new cast-in-place foundation system located 84 feet in front of the building. This concrete wall is clad in brick veneer, with brick columns providing anchorages for a decorative and secure fence system that runs along the top. Sidewalks entering the protected area are cast-in-place decorative concrete.

The project required minor modifications to the existing storm-water system with the addition of new storm inlets. New site lighting was provided, as well as an irrigation system with extensive landscaping. New security fencing was installed to separate the flight line from the front of the building, and three windows were replaced with blast-resistant window systems.
