Hangars & Aviation Facility Construction
Bryan Construction is a general contractor uniquely qualified to meet the challenges Aviation brings and the precision logistics of both aviation and fire stations.
Air operations require a great many support personnel and specialized facilities, and our wealth of knowledge about those facilities is based on vast experience building hangars, maintenance, and aviation-support buildings.
A blend of specialty systems, including 400 Hz power, high-expansion foam fire suppression, and bridge cranes – among others – must be coordinated to provide the results our clients demand.
We’re an experienced military and federal contractor, and have earned over 18 “Outstanding” ratings for projects completed for the government. Our construction management approach consistently results in quality work, completed on time and in budget.
We’ve created structures for aircraft from the massive – like the C-17 Globemaster III – to the cutting-edge – like the RQ-4B Global Hawk. And our reputation for quality work has expanded our field operations from California to Arizona and from Texas to the Bahamas.
With our C-17 hangar project, we demolished existing structures and built a 40,000-square-foot high-bay hangar at March Air Reserve Base, which included an HEF foam system. The facility is used to perform isochronal inspections and maintenance on C-17 Globemaster III cargo and troop transports, and meets Silver LEED certification requirements. Administrative, communication, electrical, and mechanical rooms were included in the design.
The high quality of our performance on Phase I led to the sole-sourcing of Phase II – the construction of an industrial-maintenance shop facility supporting the new hangar.
In the Bahamas, we built a Category 3 berthing hangar for two U.S. Coast Guard HH-60 helicopters, with ancillary support structures, including a four-bedroom modular barracks and a hazardous-materials building.
From jets to helicopters to UAVs, and for services as diverse as the Coast Guard, Air Force, Air Reserve, and Army – and even civilian facilities – Bryan Construction is tough to beat for reliability, value and expertise in aviation construction.
