Project Description

This remote mountain lodge in Steamboat Springs, comprised of challenging architecture design and detail, was a signature building for the ownership and the Drahota team.Custom light fixtures were shipped in from out-of-state, floor finishes were completed using stained concrete with wood inlays, and the fireplace masonry was all excavated on site. Some of the masonry weighed as much as one ton and took an entire day to set just one stone. Twigs and branches from Aspen trees created some of the final touches to the doors and cabinets. Drahota broke ground on the project and delivered the building nine months later for a grand opening on New Year’s Eve.
