Bryan Construction’s Federal Group has started construction of a new facility at Minot Air Force Base.
A new era for the 54th Helicopter Squadron and the 91st Security Forces Group Tactical Response Force began on August 15, 2023, when they celebrated the groundbreaking of their new facility at Minot Air Force Base.
Bryan Construction’s Federal Group will lead the facility’s construction to house the newest military helicopter, the MH-139 Grey Wolf. This new aircraft replaces the old UH-1N Huey that has been with the squadron for over 25 years.
The facility will be fully equipped to operate and maintain the multi-mission Grey Wolf:
- Three maintenance hangars
- Six shelter bays
- Three hangar bays for aircraft on alert
- Offices & Briefing rooms
- Four land vehicle bays for tactical response
Once constructed, the building will span about 133,000 square feet and house 35 Airmen prepared to support convoy operations, missile field emergencies, search and rescue operations, and future needs.
