SRAM: A Case Study in Forward-Thinking Commercial Renovation

SRAMa leading bike parts manufacturer with over 20 locations across six continents and 2,700 employees worldwide, partnered with Bryan Construction for the commercial renovation of a new research and development facility in Colorado Springs. The sitea pre-existing building near Ute Valley Parkwas chosen for its access to world-class biking trails and proximity to employee homes.

The renovated facility is 100,000 square feet and features modern, unique, and Colorado-inspired designs. The custom cliff wall, for instance, is made of Baltic Birch panels imported from Ukraine. 

Other features include: 

  • A multifunctional gathering room for team member collaboration 
  • Flexible desks and equipment on wheels 
  • A Bike Barn, wash stations, and electric bike charging areas 
  • A display showcasing every SRAM part since 1987 
  • Custom nano walls that open for indoor/outdoor events 

This project demonstrates how thoughtful, tech-integrated, and wellness-centered design can have a positive impact on employee engagement and innovation.
