To give Olympic and Paralympic track cycling teams more opportunities to train for their sport, the United States Olympic Committee decided to make the existing velodrome at Memorial Park a year-round arena by adding a seasonal, air-supported dome. Bryan Construction added the needed foundations, mechanical, electrical, and site work to support the dome as well as the 85-foot structure. Now the velodrome can host competitive events and training camps during the winter months and allow more track time for community-based activities like the Wounded Warrior program.
