The Waste Management Complex at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan housed two 50-ton-per-day incinerator units, a medical incinerator, a covered storage and sorting facility with recycling, hazardous waste storage, compost facility, concrete ash holding area, waste management facility, multi-use facility, and more. Due to the need to maintain restricted compound access, space constraints, and an increasing base population, Bryan Construction worked carefully with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to sequence construction activities to ensure the safety and security of the base. The complex provided work opportunities for local residents along with economic advancement for the area.
