The Claremont Ranch Development was an infrastructure development project located on the east side of Colorado Springs at the corner of Constitution Avenue and Marksheffel Road. Originally a 22-acre grass field, the site was developed to accommodate an assortment of mixed-use retail anchored by a new 130,000 square-foot King Soopers Marketplace. Construction began in March 2016 and was turned over Summer 2017.
Claremont Ranch Shops is a mixed-use retail building located on the east side of the Claremont Ranch site. Construction of 15,000 square-foot brick and stone masonry shell began in May 2016. The building includes (6) tenant lease spaces intended to house several national and local business chains. Construction was on schedule to meet Evergreen Development’sturnover date in the Fall 2016.
King Soopers Marketplace is the first of its kind in Colorado Springs. The 123,000 square-foot flagship model is designed to offer an abundance of goods and services beyond those found in a typical grocery store. In addition to a large selection of fresh produce and groceries, the one-stop shopping venue includes a full-scale pharmacy and small clinic, clothing apparel, bed/bath, home office, kitchen/small appliance, and even a sushi bar and Starbucks.
Building Construction began in April 2016. Opening was originally scheduled for March 2017 but was recently pushed back to August 2017 by The Kroger Co. due to the number of locations around the country all schedule to open during the first half of 2017. Shell construction was completed before March 2017 with store fixture installations in May 2017.
