When Bal Seal – a leading manufacturer of springs and seals for medical and industrial applications – decided its explosive growth required a massive new plant, they came to Bryan Construction for help.
The 155,000-square-foot factory was built with precast concrete for the main facade, with structural steel roof and common areas. The project also included a playground and exterior park for employees.
The facility has generator and UPS back-up for all critical items. Special systems piping was installed for the manufacturing process. Bryan worked with Bal Seal to create new and innovative ways to handle distribution of that system, as well as power and data cabling to all manufacturing equipment.
Notably, this was Bryan Construction’s first major “paperless” project. Using a software program called Bluebeam Revu, every blueprint, every email and change order was in a PDF file, which was linked to all corresponding documents. The savings on printing costs were significant, and were passed along to our customer.
