Keeping infrastructure in good repair is important to the safety of our troops. Our project at Butts Army Airfield at Fort Carson consisted of milling the existing asphalt and installing new hot mix asphalt, constructing new runway and taxiway shoulders, and constructing three new concrete paved taxiways. Work also included demolishing existing airfield lighting and installing new airfield and heliport lighting and visual navigation aids.The Corps of Engineers was impressed with our work on project, rating it as “Exceptional” on the CPARS evaluation.
