The Sierra Nevada Corporation C-130 Hangar is a 30,500-square-foot, single-bay hangar, sized for Boeing 737 or C-130 aircraft. Designed for a Department of Defense contract, the hangar serves as a modification facility to outfit aircraft with special instrumentation. The pre-engineered metal building structure includes an epoxy floor coating throughout and a foam fire suppression system. Foam-core sandwich panels significantly reduce energy consumption and zeroscaping techniques in the landscaping conserve water. Through fast-tracked design, we completed the project on-time and under budget.
