RAIDRS Space Control Facility

Peterson Air Force Base Colorado

The Rapid Attack, Identification, Detection, and Reporting System (RAIDRS) detects and reports attacks on both ground and space-based elements of operational space systems. Bryan Construction built the RAIDRS Space Control Facility at Peterson Air Force Base—a 47,423-square-foot, two-story structure with a basement, consisting of open office areas, a high-bay maintenance garage, an exercise facility, and a SCIF. We built the foundation and structural-steel system to the Department of Defense’s Design of Buildings to Resist Progressive Collapse criteria. The interior utilized a raised access floor system which allows for flexibility in the office layout and acts as an HVAC plenum for thermal efficiency.
