This remodel and build-out of the SMACNA Training Facility was completed by our Colorado Springs Facility Services group. Build-out work on this project included an extension of the interior foundation and construction of a steel mezzanine and concrete wall assembly. The remodel of the space included classrooms, offices, a breakroom with a kitchen, tool areas, and a high-bay training area.

These improvements to the SMACNA Training Facility will allow students in the Colorado Sheet Metal Workers’ Apprenticeship Program to advance their skills with state-of-the-art equipment and learning tools. This competitive “Earn While You Learn” training program helps to prepare the next generation of sheet metal workers for the workforce, while filling valuable trade jobs in the industry.
